The exhibition AUFBRUCH! addresses the more than 1000-year relationship between Carinthia and Styria in Klagenfurt.
At the center is the question of why people have set out throughout history and crossed the mountainous borders between the two federal states.

Work, trade, education, recreation, pilgrimages, health, politics, or love – the motives were diverse. The exhibition shows how people, ideas, innovations, and goods cross borders, exchange, linger, or move on.

This creates a cultural-historical perspective on commonalities, differences and the close connection of the shared southeastern Alpine region.
